HISTORY OF THE ORGANISATION
Samadrishti Kshamata Vikas Evam Anusandhan Mandal (SAKSHAM) is a charitable national organization under the registration number ER:648/2008. The organization has its head office at Nagpur, Maharashtra. Saksham was established with an aim to bring all the persons with various disabilities into the national main stream. Saksham firmly believes that the disabled people are not a burden on the society but assets of the nation. Initially it was dedicated to the service of visually impaired. Now Saksham caters to persons belonging to all the disabilities defined under RPWD Act 2016. It also has its commitment towards environment, health and other social activities to strengthen the society.
SAKSHAM KERALA JOURNEY
In the southe, the organization is known as SAKSHAMA. Our state headquarters is at Aluva, Ernakulam district. We have various activities based at three main cities viz Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikkode. Dheemahi is an Early Intervension and Therapy center, a project of Thiruvananthapuram district committee. Initially Dheemahi was running a school for Autistic kids. At the time of Covid we were forced to close it down due to non availability of students. Now Dheemahi provides therapy services to the needy.
